I will give it a shot, but I do know that once the ball is stuck back there leaning the machine to right doesn't necessarily get the ball out of there. I haven't checked yet, but I'm sure after delivery the legs of the machine probably need some adjustment. Once I learn enough, I'll definitely try to return the favors. Savage does your game have this gap? and if so when the ball drops through it does it return to play? Is there something behind the genie to make the ball roll to the right of the genie? Seems like the gap should be smaller, or a piece is missing behind the genie.Įventually my stupid questions will cease. Funny thing is, it dumps the ball right behind the genie and gets stuck there. There is a gap between the ramp section I removed to fix the switch and the spiral section of the ramp, which appears to be wide enough for the ball to fall through if the ball isn't hit hard enough to make it to the magnet to avoid getting stuck on the ramp. So now after some extensive playing another problem with the ramp has reared it's ugly head.

I was able to just stand the ramp up on it's side and take care of the problem. I tinned the end of the wire first and then just held the iron on the connection to soften up the old solder and used a little more to get it on there. Thanks guys, I removed the ramp and was able to solder the lead back on the switch. :-p, this is my first attempt at any repair.)
JALBUM TIGER FORUM MANUAL
I see the manual mentions it's a A-12238 sub mini switch assembly, I've had little time to search at all for this part, but is this something easily found? Is this code just specific to a Williams machine? or a generic part? (if this is a pathetic newbie question, just give me a day or two to research the part. I've gone as far as pressing it with my finger once the Magic Carpet is lit and nothing registers. The system test from the startup does mention to check the Left Ramp Made (#41) switch, so I'm thinking it will need re-soldering or be replaced. Savage23 - Last but not least, thanks for the advice! The game got dropped off Monday and I've been trying to hit that damn Genie with a Fireball, much less collect Jewels, read the ruleset, and run the tests from the ops.

Juleshoddy - Nice pictures! I didn't even get a chance to get to it! Mine is still attached to the game, so you really set the bar high with including dimensions for Savage23. Just giving a novice the best advice, I really appreciate it. I hope to gain some technical knowledge to return the favor. Yeah I've gone a little "pin-crazy", but with absolutely no regrets. I've bought 3 machines in 3 weeks, (so I'm broke now too), joined Pinside, and from the looks of it, I'm really glad I did. Let me know if you have questions and I will try to clarify more.īrokedad - I haven't even had time to sit down after getting home from work, and I'm surprised by the responses! It is a great thing to see how quick you guys are jumping on my post. I hope my suggestions are of some help to you.

Can you take a picture of the metal bracket behind the fireball magnet that actually lifts the ball to go into the magnet so I can fabricate it? That would be a huge help. My TOTAN machine has a make shift ramp to lift the ball up to the fireball magnet that does not work properly and I can not find the genuine piece anywhere to purchase.

I think that may be the same thing you might end up having to do. Unfortunately, that did not work for me and we had to take off the switch and re-solder some bad connector points. You don't want it too high so it hinders the balls progress but you need to find the right adjustment for it. You can do this by slightly bending it to come up higher on the ramp. First step is to make sure it is adjusted appropriately so if a ball rolls over it it is making contact and counting a hit. I had to get some work done on the same switch two weeks ago. Congrats on the awesome machine! I just got the same machine a month ago and love it.
